Visitor analytics

To understand how the shop is used — which pages are visited, how people arrive, what sells — we run our own lightweight, first-party analytics. It is built for privacy:

• No personal data. We do not store your name, email, or IP address in analytics. Your IP is used only to estimate a country/region at the moment of a visit and is then discarded.
• No cross-site tracking. There are no third-party advertising or social trackers. Everything stays on our own server.
• No persistent profile. Unique visits are counted with a code that is re-salted every day, so it cannot be used to follow you from one day to the next.
• You are in control. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we honour it and record nothing.

We record anonymous events such as a page view, adding an item to your bag, starting checkout, and completing an order, together with the page path and how you reached us. None of it is tied to your identity.

Your orders & account

When you place an order or create an account we keep the details needed to fulfil and support it — your name, contact details, shipping address, and order history. This is kept separately from analytics and is used only to serve you: to pack and deliver your tea, to send receipts and updates, and to let you sign in and view past orders.
